The Process
Stage 1 Initial meeting: We look at what you need and what the garden requires. From here we draw up a Fee Proposal - once accepted we move to Stage 2.
Stage 2 Site Analysis, Concept plans and meeting: Once the fee proposal is accepted, we conduct a site analysis. From the information gathered in Stage 1 and the site analysis, we draw concept plans that illustrate the layout and style of your garden. These are accompanied by images of design elements including materials, plants and finishes. Fees for concept plans start from $2,700.
Stage 3 Final plan and meeting: Based on the decisions made at Stage 2, we draft final coloured plans with a descriptive key and spot levels to indicate variation in height across the garden. The images of materials and planting will also be adjusted to reflect the decisions made at Stage 2. These plans can be used for a Development Application package if required.
Stage 4 Construction documentation and meeting: Based on the final plan, we will draft the detailed construction documentation plans required for the construction of your garden. Once drafted, we schedule a final meeting where you sign off on the construction documentation plans. You will also receive a copy of these plans for your reference. We can now provide you with a thorough quote for the construction of your garden. The fees for the construction documentation and meeting are based on 7% of this quote.
Stage 5 Project Management: A project manager is allocated for the specific purpose of ensuring that the construction of your garden meets the expected performance benchmarks and agreed timeline. The fees for project management are based on 5% of the construction quote.
Rates
Design: Charged at an hourly rate of $165 per hour
Drafting and administration: Charged at an hourly rate of $88 per hour
